How to get the best from it
Grind just before you brew, medium-coarse for a cafetière and medium-fine for a pour-over. Use 15g of coffee to 225g of water (1:15), and water at 92–94°C rather than boiling — this coffee is low in acidity and boiling water flattens it.
Drink the first cup black. Kopi Luwak is smooth enough not to need milk, and milk will bury the cocoa and caramel you paid for.

Genuinely unlike any coffee I have had
I was sceptical at the price, and I was wrong. It is extraordinarily smooth with almost no bitterness at all — dark chocolate and caramel, and it keeps changing as it cools. I made it in a cafetière and drank it black as suggested. The 50g was exactly the right way to try it.

About This Coffee
How many cups is 50g?
Three to four cups at our suggested ratio of 1:15 (12–15g of coffee per cup). It is meant as a proper taste rather than a sample — enough to brew it more than once and get it right.
Is this genuinely wild Kopi Luwak?
Yes. It is foraged from free-roaming civets in the Gayo Highlands of Aceh; the animals are never caged, fed or handled. There is no certification scheme for wild Kopi Luwak anywhere in the world, so we offer something better: our Origin Journey, which takes small groups into the forest to see the collection, and the civets' habitat, in person.
Is it ground or whole bean?
Whole roasted beans only. Kopi Luwak loses its aromatics within minutes of grinding, and at this price that would be a waste.
How should I brew it?
A cafetière suits it best: medium-coarse grind, 15g to 225g of water (1:15), water at 92–94°C rather than boiling, four minutes, then plunge slowly. Drink the first cup black.
When will it arrive?
UK orders are despatched within one working day and arrive in two to three working days, tracked and free. Outside the UK you choose at checkout: Royal Mail International Tracked (£14.95) or International Standard (£9.95, not tracked); both usually arrive in five to ten working days. Any import VAT, duty or carrier fee is paid by you on arrival.
