The Connoisseur

The Connoisseur is the full expression of our wild Kopi Luwak. 125 grams of beans gathered by hand from free-roaming Asian palm civets in the forests of the Gayo Highlands, Sumatra — at elevations above 1,200 metres where the air is cool and the Arabica cherries ripen slowly and with exceptional complexity.

Unlike the vast majority of Kopi Luwak on the market — which comes from caged animals and is difficult to verify — every bean in our 125g pack is 100% wild. The civets roam freely and select only the ripest cherries by instinct. During digestion, naturally occurring enzymes ferment the beans, producing a coffee of extraordinary smoothness, depth, and low acidity that cannot be replicated by any other process.

After collection, the beans are washed, hand-sorted individually by our partner farmers, and small-batch medium roasted using traditional Gayo methods. Each bag is filled and heat-sealed at the farm with a one-way CO₂ valve, then shipped direct from the highlands to London — and to your door.

Global wild Kopi Luwak production is estimated at fewer than 500 kilograms per year. The price reflects genuine, irreducible rarity.
